LIVE UPDATE from our #BigCatPhotoSafari to Sabi Sand, South Africa.
By Specialist Photographic Guides Lance van de Vyver and Villiers Steyn.
We were joined by a new group of guests yesterday. After a short briefing and some lunch we headed out on drive. We didn’t have to wait long as we found Hosana, the male leopard, right in front of camp. He was asleep in the road.
We left Hosana to see if we could find anything else before we returned to Hosana once he became active.
Hosana, hunted a scrub hare next to us, leaping into the air, and also had a drink at the pan in front of camp.
This morning we decided to search for lions but unfortunately we were not lucky. On the way though, we saw plains game and a few nice raptor species.
We then bumped into Hosana sleeping next to the road. Once he woke up, we followed him through the bush as he headed to Treehouse Dam.
He posed once or twice on a termite mound on the way. We also stopped past the hyena den where we only found one adult female.
