LIVE UPDATE from our #BigCatPhotoSafari to Sabi Sand, South Africa.
By Specialist Photographic Guides Lance van de Vyver and Villiers Steyn.
It was the last afternoon game drive for our first group of guests and we started off by searching on Djuma for leopards. We drove around for more than 90 minutes without any luck and decided to head to where some lions had been seen. We found them lazing about as the sun was setting.
Once the light faded we used spot lights to get some beautiful images of the females and males.
On the way home we bumped into female leopard Xidulu lying in the road.
This morning we headed north in search of the Talamati lion pride who have new cubs. Unfortunately we were unable to find them as they had crossed into the Manyeleti Game Reserve. Luckily we managed to find another lion pride who posed beautifully for us in the morning light.
This was the end of our first 4 nights and meant we had seen big cats on 8 out of 8 game drives.
