Picture yourself sitting in the stillness of the African bush, listening to the sounds of birds chirping, perhaps the roar of a lion in the distance and taking in the rich array of smells and sights of your vast picturesque surroundings. Is there a better way to spend a day?
If the answer is yes then our trip to Black Rhino Private Game Reserve is for you. We, At Close Quarters would like to take you on a photographic and bush journey that you will remember for many years to come.
The Black Rhino Private concession is a hidden gem that is situated in the North West region of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, a expansive area dedicated to conservation and tourism.
The Reserve is 58000ha and has a road network of roughly 200 kilometers to explore.
The terrain varies quite a bit as the Reserve is situated in a crater of a long extinct volcano. Great diversity can be seen in its large beautiful plains which are host to many different mammal species, plenty of waterholes which boasts incredible birdlife and the reserve also holds multiple rocky outcrops which consists of red syenite rock and make for great landscape photographic opportunities.
The beauty of this safari experience is that it is a mere two hours away from Johannesburg and is situated in a malaria free area. Making your dream safari a stone throw away from the city of Johannesburg.
On the trip you will be accompanied by one of our dedicated and passionate At Close Quarters photographic guides, who will assist you, guide you and supply you with the tools that will enhance your photographic knowledge and skill. This also includes daily tutorials and interactive practicals. With Exclusive use of Buffalo Thorn Lodge and a maximum of 5 individuals it is tailor-made for a personal and intimate atmosphere which creates a great learning environment as well as a homely feel. You will also receive a Wildlife Photography Essentials booklet with great material to help you take your photography to the next level.
